It's Obvious to Me

It's 9:36 on a Sunday morning, and already my blood pressure is through the roof. I was reading online forums for military significant others, and I stumbled onto a debate about town hall meetings regarding health care. The question posed was when will leaders on the Right speak out against bad conduct from those of their side (politically speaking). A newspaper article was linked about some bad behavior from those against nationalized health care. All of the replies were from those of a liberal mindset trying to answer for conservatives. That was the 1st thing that made me mad.

How can someone who thinks the complete opposite of what I do answer for me? So I stepped in and explained that while I think healthy debate is great, what you're seeing on TV is not a fair representation. Are there extremes on both sides? Yes. Do extreme thinkers tend to do extreme things? Yes. Is that how most of the nation acts? NO! It seems painfully obvious to me that healthy, reasoned debate does not get good ratings. Ranting and raving does. Therefore, what you see on TV is not a fair representation of the American people in general, and conservatives in particular. It is a sad state of affairs that you cannot find unbiased reporting anymore, because these are the kinds of misunderstandings that people walk away with.
