The End

Okay, here it is: my final post from our "wonderful day." This one is a video. Apparently, somewhere in the depths of Monterey Bay (or maybe a little further out in the open ocean, I'm not sure), there is a deep canyon. It's actually 3 times deeper than the Grand Canyon, so yeah, I'd say pretty deep. Recently, there was an upswelling of water and stuff, and included in that stuff was jellyfish. As we were cruising along in our little boat, we could see a portion of what had to be hundreds of thousands of the nasty little things. (Well, actually they're pretty, but if you've ever been stung before as I have, they're nasty!) As Nathan commented, it really looked like that part in "Finding Nemo." Truly fascinating. A picture didn't do it justice, so I took a video.

**If you're anything like me, you have a tendency to skip over videos. Nathan, though, has been DYING for me to put this video up, so watch it for him. It's only a few seconds!

  1. WOW, Crazy. Are there different kinds of jellyfish? Katherine told me she went swimming with them in the Black Sea. Love the pictures, it looks like fun.
