Thank goodness

I'm done with BMT. Huzzah! Overall a pretty tough experience, but worth it I have no doubt. I'm very pleased to see you all (all 3 of you or so) have been keeping up with what all went on during my BMT experience.

Now comes the fun (sarcasm) academic part. I'm starting Aircrew Fundamentals tomorrow. Basically a 2 1/2 week course that teaches you everything you never wanted to know about flying. Seriously, very very boring stuff. Like what kind of paperwork you have to fill out and how to do it. About the only cool thing the class entails is the experience in the decompression chamber to simulate losing cabin pressure.

But at least it's only 2 1/2 weeks. Then, as far as I know, I'm off to California. Fun times. From what I can tell, the August 25th date where I thought my aircrew class started might be when my language class starts. What language that might be I'll find out in a week or two here. I'll let you know.

  1. Congrats on making it through what sounds to me the toughest part of your training. Your linguistics training sounds fascinating though and I am very excited to hear what language they'll have you learn. Good luck with your boring 2.5 weeks. At least it's only 2.5 weeks.
