Last week, my mom and I went to the Houston Natural History Museum with 2 young women from the ward. It was nice to get out of the house to go somewhere other than the gym or grocery store. Normally I probably wouldn't have taken man pictures, as it was just a pretty standard museum, but I needed something to blog about. I apologize in advance for all the seemingly narcissistic pictures of myself. Some of them are because a blog of myself should include pictures of myself, no matter how much I hate them. Others are for scale. I tried to get my mom in some of them, but she wouldn't do it. And the girls we took with us went off on their own. So that left moi. I present to you: My trip to the museum.
Gotta love the dinos!

Below are pictures from my favorite exhibit: the gems and minerals. I was surprised I liked this more than the animal/dinosaur ones because I'm a big fan of all things pertaining to the animal kingdom. But the natural beauty and geometry on display here just amazed me.
Nathan, should we get a giant dog statue for our living room? Actually, it's a South American jaguar god, but it looks like a friendly puppy to me!

Don't worry, Amanda. Me and Mary saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes this weekend, so I'm deathly scared of those things now. So basically, that Ape thing is allll yours :-)
