Procrastination

Just thought I'd pop in and make a comment about how much of a procrastinator I am. I'm sitting here at school after having just dealt with a NOISY class and then an after-class exchange of words and a punch, and I decided to waste a little time blogging. Normally not a big deal; however, this week I have the dreaded report cards to do. Anyone who's taught knows how heinous these things really are. I am soooo not a fluffy, feel-good teacher, but this time of year makes me wish I was. Then I could just give everyone an A for effort and be done with it!

Last night I decided (for once) to not wait until the night before they are due to start. Well, of course the universe can't let me get ahead, and the internet kept kicking me off the website. After the 4th time of that with a minor loss of data each time, I called it quites with the intention to work on them REALLY hard at school today.

This morning went well. I accomplished quite a bit. But, now that I have a couple of hours to burn due to an unplanned formation* for Nathan after school today, I'd rather blog. Work ethic is out the window and replaced by goofing off. Sadly, duty does call, and it's time to get back at it. I wanted employment, right?

*Formations are basically meetings held outside while they stand in military formation. They were supposed to have one this morning, and Nathan showed up for it when at the last minute it was cancelled due to weather. Which means it was rescheduled. Nathan was supposed to pick me up as soon as I can leave today at 3:15, but formation doesn't even start until 4:30. This is when the one-car thing is not so fun.

  1. I love these tidbits of real life that you post about. Not that the events in it are enjoyable, just getting a glimpse of your life is. (I know, I know, I shouldn't end a sentence with the word "is" but oh well. :)
