Photo Dump Time!

The "dead dog pose" while sleeping never fails to amuse me.

Just a bed isn't good enough for our dog, no.  He needs the bed plus 3 quilts.

Wen likes to sit on top of the couch, but the cushions don't always stay put...

I was waiting for the vet when I took this.  I think I was bored.  But it turned out as one of my favorite pictures of Wen, for some strange reason.

I should be mad that my clean clothes now smell like dog, but he was just too cute to wake up and move!

Our backyard jungle.  Not all of our backyard is sodded, and if you look past the grass you can see the maze of weeds in there.  I've been working on pulling them.  I'll work on it for an hour, feel like I've done some great work, and then walk back to the house to view it from afar.  From that vantage point, you can't tell a darn thing has been done.  If we had more money I'd just hire someone.

The tree-weed next to Nathan.  That thing grew to over 7 feet tall.  Pretty impressive, although not necessarily in a good way.

This was just the root from that massive weed!

Nathan had a vision for our backyard that included a wall of sunflowers at the sod/dirt line.  It didn't quite work out as we intended, thanks to continual torrential downpours washing away our seeds after planting (3 times!!!).  But we did get a few good ones to grow, including this one.

Our new car, a Hyundai Santa Fe.  We love it very, very much.  :)

  1. K, loved the photos but where are the ones of you and your new skinny self? :) My guess is that you're waiting for your goal weight but I'm curious now. About the weeds...have you tried the round-up route? That's what we do until we have money to landscape our weeded area.

  2. I actually keep meaning to take a pic of me in my gym clothes (when the weight loss is most obvious). But of course, it's me, and I keep forgetting. ;) The weeds are all pretty much dead, they just need to be pulled. I'm not sure Round Up will help those. Although I do plan on staying on top of it once the jungle is cleared out!
