I really wanted to use my summer break to become a more dedicated blogger. My dream is once a week, but at week 2 I've already run into a massive problem: I have absolutely nothing to post. The reason I have extra time to blog is that there is nothing of real interest going on in my life. Don't get me wrong--I love it. I love being so stress-free for a while since teaching is quite the opposite for me and very draining. I need my recharge time. But really, what does one post when THIS is the schedule:
8:00-9:00 wake up, get ready
9:00-10:00 gym
10:00-11:00 chores
11:00-11:15 Lunch Part 1
11:15-12:00 chores
12:00-12:15 Lunch Part 2
12:15-1:00 Twiddle Thumbs
1:00-1:15 Lunch Part 3
1:15-2:00 Twiddle Thumbs...and so on and so forth until...
6:00-7:00 Dinner
7:00-11:00 Twiddle Thumbs, TV, Facebook, talk to Nathan
11:00 bed
It might be a super relaxing schedule, but it sure doesn't leave me much material! Sometimes in the afternoon I'll go to the grocery store. But that's about the only change to the above schedule. And seriously, the ONLY day that is different is Sunday. Any requests? Any burning questions about the lives of Nathan and Amanda that I can answer? Any ideas on how to break the writer's block?
I guess I do have one thing to add: frustration! I have been working out 6 days a week for 2 weeks now and focusing on eating better (all the lunches are teeny tiny and healthy--I spread it out throughout the day so that I actually eat less), and I have lost a grand total of...drumroll please...1 pound on a good day, but in reality probably ZERO pounds (I fluctuate a little so it's hard to pin it down exactly)! Ugggghhh! I have 30 pounds to lose and I am NOT off to a good start. :(

Wow, that does sound nice and relaxing...As far as weight loss I am no expert, but I did just watch a really intriguing documentary about juice fasting called Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. Not that I think you are fat, sick or nearly dead, but the things they talk about on there are really interesting. If I weren't prego and about to be nursing I would totally do a juice fast. May be the thing to kickstart your weight loss, especially because you have such a relaxing schedule. Anyway, the documentary is on Netflix instant queue or I am sure you can find at whatever movie rental location you prefer. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteAre there any more stories from you California to Texas via Utah trek? And I know I would love to hear about what you are going to do with yourselves in Nebraska.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the weight loss!
