A Lovely Weekend

Nathan came from his training in San Angelo to visit me in Houston for the 4th of July weekend.  And get the car.  I'm not sure which he was more excited about.  ;)  It was a great weekend, and saying goodbye was not fun, although I am planning on going to visit him in about a month.  It's hard to be apart, but it is nice that we can see each other occasionally.  It's a blessing we won't always have while he's in the military, so I'm trying to appreciate it while we can!

Nathan came on Friday and left on Monday.  We knew we wanted to do something fun on Saturday but were having a difficult time deciding on something.  It is SOOOO hot here that I knew something like a zoo would be out.  He doesn't really like the beach or waterparks, so those were out.  We've done aquariums and museums to death, so those were out.  That pretty much left NASA.  This wasn't a place I was dying to visit, but it turned out to be pretty interesting.  We saw several movies, the mock-up training facility, and the GINORMOUS Saturn V rocket.  Minus one very long and very hot wait for a tram ride, it was a fun place to hang out for an afternoon.

Unfortunately, my camera battery died right at this part--the Saturn V rocket.  Nathan took some great pics on my phone, but I cannot figure out how to get them off my phone onto the computer.  And my phone stuff is in storage, so I'm probably not figuring it out anytime soon.  Months from now, you may see more pictures...
