Thanks to some great Facebook friends, I was able to purchase City Passes for us which are discounted booklets of tickets to the big attractions in an area. We went to the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, the Exploratorium, Alcatraz, and the Aquarium on the Bay. Since I have a TON of pictures, I decided to just post pics from Golden Gate Park.
Golden Gate Park has a ton of museums, and the one I was most interested in was the Academy of Sciences. It is a natural history museum with an aquarium, planetarium, and rain forest dome. Because I can't figure out how to get pictures in the order I actually want them in on blogger, they aren't grouped together by area but just a hodgepodge of what we did for the first half of the day on Saturday.

The Japanese Tea Garden that we saw when we walked up from the underground parking garage. It was pretty cool to watch them meditate.
A larger picture of what we saw when walking out of the parking garage.

The entrance to the Academy of Sciences. I was so mad when I saw this picture because I paid someone to get my bangs trimmed before going knowing I was going to be taking a lot of pictures to post on the blog and my vain self wanted to look good. Well, I wasn't happy with the job the guy did in the first place, and I noticed I forgot to comb my bangs before taking this picture. Money down the drain, and I will NEVER do that again! Not that my hair impacted my enjoyment of the day, but I thought I'd throw that out there.
I also wasn't happy to see that I yet again forgot to take the time stamp off. I don't know how to do it without looking up the instructions online, and I never think to do it until I post pictures! Oh well, I guess I will never forget the date now!
Also, when viewing my blog, I realized the pictures are actually pretty much grouped together after all with rain forest first, a few random pictures, and then the aquarium. I do really hate how hard I find it to organize pics on blogger though!
Back to the subject, it was a really fun time, and I highly suggest it to anyone going to San Fran. I do have more pictures coming from everything else we did...but for now, it's time to grade papers. Yay.

love the pics!
