San Francisco 2: The Exploratorium
After going to the Academy of Sciences, Nathan and I took a bus down to the Exploratorium, which is an incredibly huge hands-on museum. I seriously wish I had kids to take there, because as much fun as I had, I know a kid would have 100x that. It is located in the Palace of Fine Arts, which is what the first two pictures are.

And we interrupt the pictures of the Palace of Fine Arts and the Exploratorium to bring you: our hotel room. (Thank you blogger for being SO difficult to work with.) This was the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in--at least for just 2 people--so I thought it was picture-worthy.

Back to the Exploratorium! Nathan calls the above pic the "Nazi Picture." It's a pendulum that is constantly swinging and just happened to land in an almost-swastika when I snapped the camera.

This would ideally be the first picture you see on the blog. It's just a really cool overall view of the place. But I don't want to mess with trying to move it up in the order of things, so it gets stuck in the middle.
I took this to show my students. ;)

For my siblings: they had a gigantic spirograph contraption there. I REALLY wanted to make one so I could work on putting things up our walls that aren't pictures of us. (Seriously, you come to my house and you are treated to the shrine of Nathan and Amanda. I've GOT to work on that.) But spots were limited and I didn't get one. So I had to settle for a picture.
