When I met Nathan's recruiter, she told us he would be calling on Sunday with his address. This was to be a strange phone. He literally would be holding a script in his hands that he could not deviate from, and it would last 2 minutes tops. Well, I guess Sunday is actually Tuesday night in Air Force time. I woke up at 4 a.m. to my phone ringing, and it was Nathan with his address. This was particularly cruel because his address is basically a bunch of random letters and numbers--difficult to process when you've just woken up and the sun isn't up yet!
I am going to post his address, in case you want to write him. He'll be there until July 24th. It's going to be rough. He is probably one of the oldest there, if not the oldest. He said he doesn't mind the age difference mentally and emotionally. In fact, he feels he has an advantage in those areas. However, age does have its impact physically, and I am praying he makes it through okay. I don't think anything serious will happen. I just hope he can get into the phsyical condition he needs to be in quickly. Anyway, I say all of this to just say that this is going to be a difficult time for him and he would really appreciate all your letters. He doesn't have much time, and he'll probably only write me and his parents, but he would love to hear from you. And I'll post anything he sends on this blog. It's what got me to set it up in the first place!
Well, once again I was too wordy. Here's the address. Cross your fingers it's correct--it was hard to think and write at 4 a.m.!
