Landlord Woes

Gordon (the landlord) is really the inspiration behind me getting this blog going. I have spent so much time telling everyone the same story about him, and I realized there is a much better way. I could just post it once for everyone to read--I know, I'm brilliant. :) So, for the few who don't know the story, here's a synopsis:

Nathan and I were without a shower for the better part of the week last week because our brilliant landlord decided to knock down a wall in the shower. This wouldn't have been a huge deal, except he then decided it wasn't very important to fix quickly. He would show up for an hour in the afternoon and then take 2 1/2 hour "lunches" and not come back until that evening. There was one night we was working in our bathroom until 11:00--after we told him several times he had to be out by 10:00. (I wasn't even happy with the 10:00 time, but in the interest of getting our shower back, I compromised.) Then, toward the end of the week, when he told Nathan it would still be a couple of days, Nathan got understandably upset. Nathan didn't go overboard or anything, but Gordon could see his frustration. Gordon's response to that was to be VERY rude to Nathan. I think the rudest thing said (among many) was "This is more inconvenient for me than for you." Like having to shower at Nathan's sisters' places is just nothing! We absolutely can not wait to leave at the end of May!
